Senior Frontend Engineer (Angular) – Freelance / Sector Travel‑Tech / 100% Remote – Porto – Oliveira do Douro, Porto, Portugal

Role Overview

As a Senior Frontend Engineer you are part of an agile Software Development Team, responsible for the full lifecycle of an application using edge technologies to deliver amazing value to our customers while scaling our platform to meet the demands of worldwide markets.

From developing flowcharts, layouts, and documentation to supporting the Product Owner with requirements and the team with solutions, you will write unit, component, and integrated tests under the guidance of the team's QA.

Responsibilities

• Design, testable, and efficient code to solve business needs and deploy applications in a Continuous Integration platform.
• Create flowcharts, layouts, and documentation.
• Support the Product Owner with requirements and solutions.
• Write unit, component, and integration tests.

Qualifications

Strong technical background:

• 3+ years working with Java (preferably Java 8+) – or equivalent OOP language.
• Experience with Scala, Kafka, Akka, Memcached, Apache Storm, Apache Cassandra, Zookeeper, Rabbit
  MQ.
• High concurrency/high transactional/highly available platforms.
• Client‑server protocols such as SOAP and REST.
• Established design patterns and reusability techniques.

Soft skills: Excellent communication in Portuguese and English, common sense, passion for problem solving, ability to work as a team player and promote a healthy environment.
