2D Illustrator (Junior Level) — Dark Fantasy RPG with Immersive Sim elements. The role is to join the art team at Dark Cloud Games.

About The Project

Dark Fantasy RPG featuring a complex narrative, deep progression systems, and immersive 2D gameplay integrated with a web platform. The art direction blends grotesque medieval symbolism, occult imagery, and stylized semi‑realism — demanding artists capable of transforming dark concepts into expressive, symbolically rich visuals through both manual craft and AI‑enhanced workflows.

Responsibilities

Integrate AI tools as part of a creative workflow, using them for ideation, visual exploration, and refinement, while maintaining strong manual illustration skills.

Requirements

• Portfolio demonstrating strong artistic fundamentals (composition, anatomy, color, and light).
• Experience with digital illustration tools such as Photoshop.
• Proven ability to integrate AI‑based workflows (e. g. , AI Nodal, Comfy
  UI, or similar) into the creation and refinement of characters and assets.
• Ability to adapt to a semi‑realistic, symbolic, and dark fantasy visual style.
• Basic understanding of UI/UX visual coherence in games.
• Basic Portuguese (A2/B1 level) communication skills sufficient for daily interaction.

Nice to Have

• Experience with vector art.
• 2D animation basics.
• Unity asset preparation.

Conditions

• Annual salary: €15, ****** – €20, ****** (depending on experience).
• Contract: 2 years.
• Work model: On‑site in Portugal.
