Role Purpose

- scale projects, ensuring scope, time, cost, and quality objectives are met. The role requires strong leadership, structured delivery governance, and the ability to operate across technical, business, and vendor landscapes.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Leadership
- Take full accountability for project definition, approach, facilitation, and successful delivery.
- Identify, assess, and manage risks to ensure project success.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans with accurate stakeholder communication.
- Apply appropriate project management methodologies (predictive, hybrid, or adaptive/iterative).
- Ensure quality reviews are conducted according to agreed procedures.
- Manage scope, schedule, and resource budgets within approved tolerances.
- Lead project teams effectively, addressing performance deviations where necessary.
- Ensure projects are formally closed, reviewed, and lessons learned are documented.
Requirements & Scope Management
- Define and manage scope, requirements definition, and prioritisation for
- complexity initiatives. - Facilitate stakeholder input and challenge assumptions to support effective prioritisation.
- Establish requirements baselines, ensure formal approval, and maintain traceability.
- Review requirements for completeness, consistency, and accuracy.
- Manage authorised changes through formal change management processes.
User Experience & Quality Evaluation
- Manage UX evaluation of systems and services to ensure usability and accessibility requirements are met.
- Advise on evaluation scope, methods, and stakeholder involvement.
- Work collaboratively with designers and developers to ensure evaluation outcomes are implemented.
Customer, Contract & Supplier Management
- Ensure customer needs are fully understood and solutions are effectively delivered.
- Oversee fulfilment of contractual obligations and supplier performance.
- Define and monitor KPIs to assess delivery performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Manage
- performance or compliance issues and define mitigation strategies. - Support negotiations, variations, and approvals within authorised limits.
Risk, Hazard & Assurance
- Identify and report risks and hazards within the project or business area.
- Propose mitigation actions to protect project objectives related to scope, quality, schedule, and cost.
Required Experience & Skills
- Minimum 5+ years of experience managing ICT acquisition and/or development projects in large organisations.
- Proven experience in planning, design, systems engineering, and implementation of complex systems.
- Strong background in project management tools, methodologies, and governance frameworks.
- Experience delivering projects within international or
- cultural environments. - Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with senior management and large stakeholder groups.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- Formal Project Management certification (PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent).
- Agile PM experience or certification (Agile
PM, Scrum). - IT Service Management experience or certification (ITIL v3/v4).
- Supplier and contract management experience, including negotiation and conflict resolution.
- Experience working in regulated or
- assurance environments.
