We are seeking someone who can work in a hybrid model in Carcavelos/Lisbon or remotely from the Algarve region.
Job Description:
- Work as part of a
- performing, collaborative commercial team to enhance the competitiveness and availability of the product across an assigned portfolio of hotels, optimizing overall performance. - Negotiate the best commercial (rates, inventory, releases, OVR, MC) and financial (credit terms, payment terms) conditions.
- Manage inventory strategically (hotel room nights) to sell to the right customer at the right time and price.
- Understand, anticipate, and influence suppliers’ behavior to maximize operating margin.
- Negotiate and contract renewal conditions: rate, inventory, offers, release periods, marketing contributions, overrides, cancellation policies, including face visits to top hotels and periodic remote interactions.
- Ensure contracts are renewed and live with sufficient lead time for early bookings.
- Act as the remote key contact for accommodation suppliers to maintain relationships related to contracting, operations, commercial, or financial matters.
- Explain tools and procedures to suppliers, providing demonstrations and support materials.
- Ensure supplier compliance with Health & Safety standards and support H&S specialists.
- Prioritize and execute campaigns and opportunities.
- Analyze business trends and identify opportunities based on regional reports and news.
- Explain destination or hotel performance with clear insights into key performance drivers.
- Handle various problems from hoteliers, administration, clients, and other departments.
Profile Requirements:
- Well-organized with the ability to multitask and prioritize, resilient under stress.
- Analytical and commercial skills.
- Excellent communication skills, especially over phone and email.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Native Portuguese speaker and excellent English proficiency, both written and oral.
- Enjoy challenges and working towards targets.
Experience:
- Experience in the tourism industry.
- Experience in sales, commerce, or revenue management.
