We are seeking a driven and detail‑oriented finance professional to join our Financial Control team as a Finance Manager, based in our Lisbon office. Reporting to the Head of Treasury and Compliance, this role blends local responsibility with international exposure, managing financial operations across a portfolio of subsidiaries and partnering closely with our Io
T business unit. Business Partnering with Io
T- Act as the finance lead for the Io
T business line – understanding commercial models, cost structures and growth drivers. - Collaborate with commercial, product and engineering teams to ensure accurate revenue and cost tracking. - Conduct quality checks on billing data to validate completeness and appropriateness, supporting revenue assurance. - Provide insights and recommendations to enhance the financial performance and operational efficiency of the Io
T unit. - Help define and improve financial processes to support scaling of Io
T operations. Support for Assigned Subsidiaries- Act as the primary finance point of contact for a defined set of legal entities within the group. - Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in compliance with local GAAP and regulatory standards. - Coordinate tax filings, statutory audits and regulatory submissions for assigned jurisdictions. - Liaise with local auditors, tax advisers and other external stakeholders. - Align local reporting with group‑level requirements, working closely with global finance colleagues. - Oversee payroll review processes and ensure accurate and timely payroll tax submissions where applicable. - Lead the tracking and documentation of internally capitalised development costs under IFRS. - Partner with Product and Engineering teams to assess eligible activities and timing. - Maintain audit‑ready documentation to support both internal and external reviews. Key Balance Sheet Reconciliations- Own and perform reconciliations for critical balance sheet accounts. - Investigate aged items and ensure timely resolution of variances. - Support month‑end and year‑end close processes with a strong focus on accuracy and adherence to deadlines. Finance Systems & Process Improvements- Contribute to cross‑functional systems projects, particularly in financial systems and billing platforms. - Identify opportunities for automation and process optimisation across the finance function. Requirements – Must Have- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. - Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting roles – international GAAP experience is a plus. - Experience with IFRS, particularly the capitalisation of development costs. - Proficiency with financial systems and general ERP or billing tools. - Excellent organisational and time‑management skills. - Problem‑solving mindset with a proactive approach to continuous improvement. - Strong Excel and analytical skills. - Fluency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Requirements – Nice to Have- Professional accounting qualification (e. G. , ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent). - Experience in the telecommunications or technology sector. - Familiarity with Net
Suite or similar ERP systems. - Interest or experience in systems implementation or process improvement initiatives.
