We're looking for an experienced Accountant who can manage our bookings and expenses, support strategic
- making, and ensure compliance with Portuguese tax regulations.

Responsibilities

Accounting & Bookkeeping

• Prepare and record accurate accounting entries for our European entities.
• Manage intercompany transactions and cost reinvoicing.
• Reconcile operating expenses and provide budget vs. actual reports.
• Deliver project health reports and overall P&L analysis.

Tax Compliance

• Process payroll and ensure tax compliance for our European subsidiaries.
• Maintain ledgers in full compliance with IFRS and local GAAP.
• Ensure accurate VAT reporting and filings, especially for Portuguese operations.

Expense Reconciliation

• Audit travel and
  - travel expenses in line with local tax laws and company policies.
• Ensure all reimbursements are supported by proper documentation (invoices, receipts, etc. ).

Performance Management

• Monitor financial performance across departments.
• Provide KPI analysis and performance reports for local and HQ management.
• Support forecasting and strategic financial planning.

Qualifications

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in Controlling or similar roles.
• Strong experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Excellent understanding of Portuguese tax laws and VAT implications for digital services.
• Solid knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken) – mandatory.
• Ability to prepare for and coordinate audits.
