Accountant

Overview

Join Canonical’s Finance team as an Accountant to help us prepare for a public market IPO. The role is based in London or Remote across EMEA.

Responsibilities

• Assist in month‑end reporting to deliver timely and accurate information
• Manage a ledger subset relevant to your strengths
• Support year‑end audit processes and statutory reporting
• Help finance prepare for the IPO by improving processes and monitoring compliance
• Share knowledge with teammates to ensure coverage when needed
• Actively develop your skills to stay current with IFRS and other applicable standards
• Build strong relationships with key colleagues outside finance

Qualifications

• Exceptional academic track record and career performance
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent
• Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, ACMA, CPA, etc. )
• Preferred experience at a large public accounting firm or multinational corporate accounting department
• Experience with Net
  Suite or similar enterprise‑grade systems
• Willingness to travel up to four times per year
