Job Title: Contract Accountant - Funchal, Portugal

We are in need of a skilled Contract Accountant to join our team in Funchal, Portugal. As an experienced and
- oriented accountant, you will be responsible for managing our financial transactions, producing accurate financial reports, and ensuring compliance with all tax regulations. This is a contract position without accommodation, suitable for candidates with their own visa and from any nationality.

Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries, and payroll
• Prepare and analyze financial statements on a monthly basis
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of all tax filings and payments
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop budgets and forecast future financials
• Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions
• Identify areas for
  - saving measures and implement necessary changes
• Keep

  - date with relevant accounting regulations and procedures

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Minimum of 3 years experience as an accountant or in a similar role
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures
• Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software (Quickbooks preferred)
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Attention to detail and accuracy
