  • ? We are looking for an Accountant:

Main Tasks:

Participate in the monthly accounting process and group quarterly closing

  • Post closing entries, including:
  • Cut-off entries
  • Deferred income
  • Fixed assets
  • Equity
  • Write-offs and other adjustments
  • Review accounting accounts, including:
  • Account reconciliations and allocations
  • Supporting documentation
  • Ageing analysis
  • Review of suspense and transit accounts
  • Contribute to the consolidated balance sheet review, including:
  • Preparation of supporting documentation
  • Participation in review and presentation of financial information
  • Perform data quality checks for the consolidation package (flow analysis, consistency and coherence checks)

Statutory financial statements:

  • Prepare main financial statements for a selected scope of entities (100% subsidiaries and joint ventures)
  • Prepare and post statutory adjustments (from Group IFRS reporting to local GAAP statutory accounts)
  • Prepare notes tables and contribute to the drafting of notes to the financial statements
  • Support the statutory audit process by providing required documentation and backups

ERP system transition:

  • Contribute to data cleansing activities prior to ERP migration (account reconciliations, review of historical postings)
  • Support accountants and team leads during the ERP project (ad hoc support)
  • Contribute to data quality before and after migration, including reconciliations and sanity checks

Requirements:

  • Strong accounting knowledge
  • Good understanding of statutory accounting requirements
  • Critical thinking and strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work comfortably in an ERP environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines in a
    - moving environment
  • Proactive team player with a collaborative mindset
  • Fluent in English
  • Ability to work with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
