ACE Team in Lisbon is growing! We currently have multiple openings for Accountants and Payroll Specialists, with different levels of experience, from Junior to more Senior roles.

We are mainly looking for professionals that besides English, can also speak the Languages spoken at the 17 Countries we work at:

Portugal, Spain, Italy, France, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, The Netherlands, UK, US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Japan, South Korea and Hong Kong.

What will you do?

• Perform all the month and year end activities, from an accounting and payroll perspective, including the preparation and booking of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, profit and loss review, manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, invoicing, payroll, statistical, statutory and corporate reporting and ad hoc requests
• Assist the Country Managers on managing a diverse portfolio of clients, and support the migration projects of new clients (knowledge transfer and work instructions writing)
• Ensure timely delivery of indirect, direct tax and other local reporting obligations
• Perform monthly payment runs for the clients, cash flow forecast and bank reconciliations
• Ensure that all processes, reporting and controls are appropriately followed and documented to comply with internal procedures and local legislation,
• Conduct regular assessments of operational processes, identifying operational risks and implement risk mitigation strategies, identifying areas for improvement
• The Payroll Specialist must have experience of preparing payroll in more than one jurisdiction

Who are we looking for (preferred but not all required)?

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field
• Ideally be a Certified Public Accountant in one of the Countries we operate at
• Experience in accounting, payroll, tax (direct and indirect) and compliance processes preferably in a multinational accounting firm or an international environment
• Fluency, both written and spoken, in English and knowledge of an additional language:
  
  German, Dutch, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, French, Malay, Korean, Japanese
• Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels
• Strong analytical and
  - solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy
• Able to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple responsibilities, both independently and collaboratively within a team, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
• Positive attitude,
  - motivated, continuous improvement approach with desire to take on additional responsibilities and contribute to the development of our Team and Company
• Experience in working with local GAAP standards of the Countries we support and IFRS (plus)
• Knowledge of accounting, payroll software’s and MS office tools, particularly advanced Excel
