The Finance Department's main functions include:

1. Preparing financial information for Haitong Bank Group, subsidiaries, and branches;
2. Reporting financial data to regulators, shareholders, and the market;
3. Providing accounting analysis for new transactions, products, and client guidance.

What we are looking for: We seek an experienced Senior Financial Controller to join our Finance Department. This senior role requires 3-4 years of experience in a
- tier accounting or auditing firm (Big Four) and is ideal for someone aiming to advance their career.

The role involves overseeing financial reporting within the bank and coordinating with our parent group in China. It offers an exciting opportunity to influence the financial strategy of a major international banking group.

Job responsibilities include:

1. Participating in the preparation of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with local regulations and international standards;
2. Coordinating and consolidating financial reports for the Portuguese headquarters and the parent group in China;
3. Maintaining and improving financial controls, procedures, and systems;
4. Collaborating with other departments to ensure financial reporting aligns with strategic objectives;
5. Supervising and mentoring junior finance staff;
6. Providing detailed financial analysis and insights to support management decisions.

Candidate profile: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field; a Master's degree or professional certifications (CPA, CFA, ACCA) are highly valued. 3-4 years of relevant experience, preferably within banking or financial services, with strong knowledge of IFRS and banking regulations. Experience in managing financial reporting for international groups and proficiency in financial software and MS Excel are required. Excellent analytical, organizational, communication skills, and fluency in English are mandatory; Portuguese and Chinese skills are a plus.
