You will be responsible for the development of the Junior Accountants, and the preparation of the deliverables produced within the team. Moreover, you will represent the responsive and diligent image of TMF in front of any client or third party, being the client’s first contact person for the assigned accounts.
As a Senior Accountant at TMF, you will be able to organize your own work as well as assisting the juniors’ priorities, being conscious of the urgencies within the whole team’s portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Bookkeeping: Review booked entries and import files; assist officers with calculations and missing entries; assist in setup and maintenance of client accounting ERP configuration; complete GAAP conversions (mappings); ensure the correctness of the accounting records.
- Tax Compliance: Review VAT and withholding tax drafts; assist officers with drafts completion; validate prepared Intrastat forms and COPEs reporting; prepare CIT and instalments calculations; reconcile forms prior to submission and submit them; ensure all local taxes and penalties are dealt with; assist Team Leader on tax audit management.
- Cash Management: Review and submit transfer orders; ensure transfer orders are duly dealt with.
- Statutory Reporting: Review Annual Accounts first draft and adjust format; review prepared Official Ledgers; prepare/review Annual Accounts full package; ensure submission of the Annual Accounts.
- Corporate Reporting: Prepare client reporting files and other deliverables; calculate cash projections and cash flow statements; agree reporting terms and periodicity with clients.
- Audit Assistance: Act as main contact for auditors; manage time schedules with client and auditors; coordinate officers on information gathering; inform Team Leader as needed; perform other activities required for deliverables completion.
- Billing: Agree with client billing templates; coordinate review of invoice taxation; review invoice drafts based on approved templates and taxation.
- Other Functions: Participate in officers’ training and development; inform officers about processes; review files against standards; be main contact for clients; review INE forms and surveys; review TMF invoices and contents; participate in updating department control sheets.
Key Requirements
- University degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration or similar
- At least 4 years of experience in accounting & tax firms or consulting companies
- Excellent knowledge of Local GAAP & Tax compliance; knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS is a plus
- Advanced or proficient English; excellent written and communication skills in English and local language
- Proficiency in MS Office and local accounting ERPs
