Job Summary

The Accounting Analyst is responsible for supporting hotel accounting operations with a strong focus on Accounts Receivable and revenue control. This role ensures accurate revenue recognition, timely invoicing and collections, and close collaboration with the Revenue Management team to analyse performance, validate revenues across all sales channels, and support monthly financial closings in compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities

Perform accounting entries and reconciliations of balance sheet and profit & loss accounts
Manage and reconcile Accounts Receivable, including invoicing for accommodation, events, and hotel services
Monitor collections, outstanding balances, discrepancies, and chargebacks
Reconcile revenues with credit card operators, travel agencies, and corporate accounts
Support monthly and annual financial closings
Ensure accurate revenue recognition by department and cost centre
Work closely with the Revenue Management team, analysing rates, occupancy, and key KPIs such as ADR, and Average Daily Rate
Validate revenue from all sales channels
Prepare financial and performance reports to support management decisions
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal procedures
Support internal and external audits

Requirements

Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related fields
Previous experience in hospitality accounting or a finance role
Strong knowledge of Accounts Receivable and billing processes
Understanding of Revenue Management concepts and hotel KPIs
Proficiency in Excel
Experience with HOSTStrong attention to detail and organizational abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in Portuguese and English languages
