The Role
The Accounting Project Management will contribute to the financial integrity of the organization by applying a strong combination of accounting and audit experience, particularly from a Big4 environment. This role is ideal for someone who naturally bridges accounting and audit functions, brings a structured project‑management approach, and is comfortable managing complex financial tasks with a high level of accuracy. The Accounting Project Management will support financial reporting, oversee key accounting processes, assist in strengthening internal controls, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Tasks
- Lead general ledger activities and ensure accurate, compliant financial records.
- Manage complex reconciliations and support efficient month‑end and year‑end close processes.
- Prepare and analyse financial statements, ensuring alignment with GAAP/IFRS.
- Provide insights in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Lead the development and enhancement of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Act as a key liaison between accounting and audit teams, ensuring alignment and readiness for both internal and external audits.
- Offer financial analysis and recommendations to management.
- Contribute to cross‑functional financial projects using structured project‑management skills.
- Promote best practices in accounting and controls.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure financial accuracy across processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, Master’s preferred.
- 5–8 years of progressive experience in accounting and/or audit, with Big4 experience strongly preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and financial reporting requirements.
- Demonstrated experience working between accounting and audit functions.
- Solid project‑management skills with a structured, proactive approach.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
- Ability to explain complex financial topics to non‑financial stakeholders.
- Adaptability to changing business and regulatory environments.
- Strong team collaboration skills and commitment to high‑quality work.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English are essential.
