Overview

Accounts Payable Senior Accountant - German speaker role at Airbus Portugal SA.

Responsibilities

• Process and monitor incoming invoice flows from suppliers via different invoicing channels.
• Ensure payment of invoices in a timely manner in full conformance with internal and external requirements.
• Respond to internal customer and external supplier queries/claims on a timely basis, including support for litigation topics as needed.
• Investigate and resolve payment issues.
• Perform Vendor Statement Reconciliations (VSRs) to ensure matching of liabilities between Airbus and suppliers.
• Manage limited Non-Purchase Order (PO) exceptions in line with the Airbus Payments directive.
• Build and sustain robust relationships with internal customers and work with them to implement solutions for problems encountered daily.

Requirements - Our Ideal Candidate Will Have

• 5 to 10 years of experience in Finance and Accounting.
• Fluent in German and English.
• Ability to handle
  - volume data entry, resolve invoice issues with appropriate parties, and document process improvements.
• Ability to process a minimum of 80 invoices daily with 98% accuracy.
• Familiar with standard accounting concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Attention to detail and accuracy; strong organizational and time management skills.
• Professional,
  - oriented, and able to prioritize issues and troubleshoot problems efficiently.
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written; ability to work with all organizational levels.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; rigorous and analytical with adherence to processes and internal controls.
• Working knowledge of SAP is desirable with a strong desire to develop further.
