About the Team
The Accounts Payable team in our clients business in Portugal supports five business units across the international market. We’re responsible for ensuring supplier invoices and employee expenses are paid accurately and on time. We are now looking for a motivated and
- oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join the growing finance function.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage Accounts Payable shared mailboxes, ensuring timely triage of invoices, approvals, and queries.
- Run daily and weekly AP reports, identifying and addressing issues proactively.
- Process high volumes of supplier invoices, employee expenses, and payment runs.
- Ensure all payments comply with internal policies and guidelines (Payments, T&E, etc. ).
- Validate supplier payment details and methods.
- Prepare AP reconciliations, including supplier balances, prepayments, accruals, and intercompany charges.
- Support improvements in the

- pay process, assisting in system or process enhancements. - Participate in finance and AP-related projects and initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy and completeness of data.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and implement best practices
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Management or a related area.
- 3–5 years of experience in Accounts Payable, ideally in a multinational or shared services environment.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and AP best practices.
- Comfortable working with large data sets and financial systems (Oracle knowledge is a plus).
- Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel (Power BI is a plus).
- Experience with

- pay systems and procedures is highly desirable. - High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Proactive, organised, and a strong team player.
- Fluent in English and Portuguese (additional languages such as Spanish, French, German, or Dutch are a plus).
