Why This Role
At Access Healthcare, we’re seeking a meticulous and proactive Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our Porto based Finance team. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in aiding smooth cash flow and accurate financial reporting, helping our international operations run efficiently. You’ll also have ample opportunity to improve processes, systems and structure to create efficiencies.
What You’ll Be Doing
Collections & Client Relations
- Manage invoices and aim to minimise the number of overdue payments
- Engage with corporate clients on overdue payments via phone and email to secure payments.
- Negotiate payment arrangements when needed and escalate issues according to protocol.
- Keep detailed records of all collection activities and client interactions.
- Identify potential process and systems improvements and take a hand in implementing improvements.
Accounts Receivable Operations
- Process incoming payments accurately and on time.
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
- Prepare statements, aging reports, and support
- end closing tasks. - Respond to client inquiries regarding invoices, payments, or account balances.
- Engage with internal leadership team to report on Accounts Recievable.
What We’re Looking For
- 1–2 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, collections, or related finance role.
- Secondary education required;
accounting or finance qualification preferred. - Hands-on experience with accounting software (Sage, Quick
Books, or similar) would be a bonus. - Strong Excel skills;
familiarity with CRM systems is a plus. - High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
