From day one, you will be assigned your own responsibilities, providing exposure to client assignments and enabling you to build valuable experience and skills. You will gain insight into different aspects of our business, developing a solid understanding of what we do and how we do it.
As An Admin Assistant, Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Ensuring all premiums received from clients are paid out to the carriers.
- Reconciling carrier statements and resolving discrepancies.
- Handling receipts and application of premiums and fees received from clients and insurance companies.
- Booking commissions received from insurance companies.
You’ll work on real client projects, performing tasks such as (not exhaustive):
- Reviewing ledgers to identify items payable to carriers, clients,
- brokers, and other entities. - Providing payment backups to payees for the application of funds.
- Reconciling carrier statements with WTW’s books of accounts.
- Liaising with client managers and carriers to address payment issues, reconciliation discrepancies, and unallocated cash.
- Reviewing open ledgers and performing small balance
- offs, offsets, etc. , as per accounting guidelines. - Managing the clearance of uncashed/uncleared checks.
- Responding to queries, requests, and corrections in a timely and effective manner.
- Following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), client/carrier specifications, and ensuring adherence to all statutory requirements.
- Handling intercompany reconciliation by liaising with other WTW locations.
- Booking commissions against relevant clients/policies in the system based on documentation received from insurance companies.
- Collaborating with client managers and insurance companies to resolve discrepancies and unallocated cash.
- Ensuring timely clearance of return commissions to insurance companies to avoid potential penalties.
- Adhering to procedures, client/insurance company specifications, and statutory requirements.
- Providing support for
- related activities.
Qualifications
- Up to 2 years of relevant experience; Accounting/Finance background preferred.
- Business fluency in English and proficiency in French, with a minimum B2 level, and C1 level preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Office 365 skills.
- Knowledge of the insurance industry is preferred.
- Excellent time management skills, with a respect for deadlines.
- Logical thinking and
- solving abilities. - Effective stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- A strong team player with a collaborative spirit.
- Analytical skills and a good sense of organization.
