The Role  

We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer / Backend Developer to join our team on a freelance basis, with the opportunity to transition into a permanent position as we grow. You will play a key role in designing and building the backend data architecture of our platform, integrating multiple data sources, and enabling
- driven insights and visualizations for our clients.  

Your Responsibilities  

• Design and implement a scalable data warehouse architecture (e. g. Snowflake or similar) 
• Build robust ETL/ELT pipelines to integrate diverse data sources such as ad server data, CRM user profiles, and web tracking data 
• Develop data models that support advanced analytics and AI / machine learning use cases 
• Collaborate with frontend developers to deliver
  - driven visualizations and insights 
• Work closely with the founders to the translate product vision into tech
• Contribute creatively to product and architecture decisions in a dynamic startup environment 

Your Profile  

• Strong experience with data warehouses (Snowflake), databases, and ETL/ELT processes 
• Solid programming skills (Python, SQL, or similar) 
• Familiarity with data privacy, web tracking data, or user profile data is a plus 
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure) is desirable 
• Knowledge of machine learning / AI (Chat
  GPT) for data modeling is desirable
• Fluent in English (spoken and written); German is a plus but not required 
• Entrepreneurial mindset: motivated to build, iterate, and grow in a startup environment 
• EU work permit required
