The role

APC Platform Management:

• Design, configure, and maintain APC solutions tailored to paper & pulp processes (e. g. , digester control, bleaching, drying, stock preparation).
• Collaborate with OEM vendors to implement and optimize APC algorithms and models.
• Monitor APC system performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

OEM Integration to OT/IT Platforms:

• Integrate APC platforms with plant‑level OT systems (DCS, PLCs, SCADA) and enterprise‑level IT systems (MES, ERP, Historian).
• Ensure secure and reliable data exchange between APC and other digital platforms.
• Develop and maintain APIs, OPC UA/DA interfaces, and data pipelines for real‑time analytics.

Cross‑functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with process engineers, IT teams, cybersecurity, and OEM partners.
• Provide technical leadership in digital transformation projects involving APC.
• Train plant personnel on APC usage and troubleshooting.

Compliance & Documentation:

• Ensure APC systems comply with industry standards and cybersecurity protocols.
• Maintain detailed documentation of system architecture, configurations, and integration workflows.

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Control, Automation, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in APC implementation in paper & pulp or similar process industries.
• Strong knowledge of APC platforms (e. g. , Honeywell Profit Controller, ABB OPT800, Aspen DMCplus).
• Experience with OT/IT integration technologies (OPC, MQTT, REST APIs, edge computing).
• Familiarity with industrial protocols and cybersecurity standards (ISA‑95, ISA/IEC 62443).
• Experience with cloud‑based industrial platforms (e. g. , Azure Io
  T, AWS Io
  T, GE Predix).
• Knowledge of data analytics tools (Python, R, Power BI) for process optimization.
• Certifications in APC or industrial automation platforms.
