The Role:
As an Agile Coach, you will be a catalyst for team success, guiding squads and individuals in adopting and refining Agile methodologies to deliver
- quality products efficiently. This role focuses on mentoring team members, facilitating Agile practices, and driving cultural shifts toward collaboration and continuous improvement. Working closely with Delivery Assurance Leads, product owners, and stakeholders, the Agile Coach ensures Agile principles align with business goals, enhances team performance, and supports the broader product operating model within the UKI framework.
What You'll be Doing:
Facilitate Agile Practices: Guide teams in adopting and refining Agile methodologies (e. g. , Scrum, Kanban, Lean) tailored to their needs. Conduct training sessions to educate teams on Agile principles, practices, and UKI-aligned ways of working.
Mentorship and Coaching: Mentor product owners, product managers, and engineering team members in Agile techniques and behaviours. Provide

- one coaching to help individuals overcome challenges and adapt to Agile practices effectively.
Team Performance Enhancement: Support teams in improving processes, increasing velocity, and enhancing product quality. Collaborate with teams, Delivery Assurance Managers, and project/programme managers to remove impediments hindering progress or collaboration.
Cultural Transformation: Promote a culture of continuous improvement, learning, and openness to change within teams. Facilitate shifts toward collaborative, transparent, and adaptive environments aligned with organisational goals.
Change Management: Act as a change agent, supporting the transition from legacy methodologies, processes, and tools to an Agile product operating model. Align business objectives with Agile practices to drive value delivery.
Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with stakeholders to manage expectations and ensure alignment with Agile principles. Translate business needs into Agile practices that deliver incremental value.
Metrics and Feedback: Assist teams in defining and tracking relevant Agile metrics (e. g. , sprint burndown, velocity, lead time), providing training on available tools. Leverage metrics to facilitate discussions and drive continuous improvement.
Conflict Resolution: Mediate conflicts within teams or between teams and stakeholders, fostering collaborative
- solving.
Scaling Agile: Support scaled Agile practices and collaboration across multiple teams working toward aligned goals.
Support Product Development: Ensure Agile practices enhance the product development lifecycle, prioritising early and frequent delivery of customer value through continuous discovery.
Meeting Facilitation: Lead or facilitate key Agile events (e. g. , sprint planning, daily
- ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives) until teams can
- manage effectively. Ensure these meetings are focused, productive, and result in actionable outcomes.
What You’ll Bring:
Proven experience as an Agile Coach, Scrum Master, or similar role in a
- driven environment.
Deep knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean) and their practical application.
Strong facilitation, mentoring, and coaching skills, with a focus on empowering teams and individuals.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, adept at bridging technical and business perspectives.
Experience defining and using Agile metrics to drive performance and improvement.
Ability to navigate conflict and foster a positive, collaborative team culture.
Familiarity with product development lifecycles and continuous discovery practices.
