Job Summary
The AI & Automation Enablement Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying intelligent automation solutions across Allia Health Group. Reporting to Senior/Principal AI Engineers and later to the Director of AI & Automation, this role focuses on enabling business teams with AI-driven process automation, workflow orchestration, and
- based solutions. The successful candidate will bridge technical execution with business enablement, ensuring scalable and impactful adoption of AI and automation technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy automation solutions using Ui
Path, N8N, and similar tools - Build AI-enabled workflows leveraging Google Cloud’s Vertex AI and other modern AI platforms
- Partner with data and product teams to identify automation opportunities that improve efficiency and reduce operational overhead
- Integrate automation into business processes, ensuring reliability, maintainability, and security
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical automation designs
- Implement monitoring, error handling, and reporting for automation systems
- Contribute to the standardization and best practices for AI & automation enablement across the organization
Required Qualifications
- Ideal Degree(s): BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, or a related field
- Experience: 2–4 years in AI/automation engineering roles
- Must-Have:
- Strong experience with automation platforms (Ui
Path, N8N, or equivalent) - Proficiency in Python or another scripting language for automation and integration tasks
- Familiarity with cloud services (Google Cloud preferred; AWS/Azure acceptable)
- Hands-on experience integrating APIs and building workflow orchestration solutions
- Understanding of data pipelines, ETL processes, and structured/unstructured data handling
- Basic knowledge of MLOps practices and deploying AI models into automation workflows
- Strong
- solving skills and ability to collaborate with business stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Preferred: Google Cloud; Looker; Vertex AI; Ui
Path; N8N; CI/CD with Git
Hub & Google Cloud; React; Postgre
SQL; Docker; Kubernetes; and other
- adjacent tools. Candidates with AWS experience are welcome but Google Cloud is preferred

- Working in Madeira in a shared office space, remote in Portugal, or remote in a Portuguese time
- friendly location - Flexibility to shift portions of the day to increase time zone overlap with US CST time zone
