What do you need to be a SMART Data&AI Platform/Solution Architect?
- At least 15 years of experience in a similar role or in a contractual service environment;
- Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field;
- Up-to-date knowledge of databases and analytical technologies, including Data Lake/Lakehouse architectures and No
SQL storage; - Experience in Big Data platforms such as Big
Query, Azure Synapse, AWS Red
Shift, Cassandra, Couchbase, or HDFS; - Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (one or more: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud);
- Strong knowledge of data governance and data security best practices;
- Experience in metadata management, data catalogs, data standards, and Master Data Management;
- Solid understanding of Machine Learning, statistical models (classification, regression, time series analysis), and algorithms;
- Strong analytical and
- solving skills; - Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Experience working in collaborative environments with global teams;
- Fluency in English (mandatory); Portuguese and Spanish (valued);
- Understanding of the Energy & Utilities market and GDPR regulation;
- Knowledge of Agile methodology and tools such as JIRA and Confluence (valued);
- Strong commitment to
- quality deliverables; - Experience in strategic projects and complex data architectures;
- Celonis certification is needed;
- Must be a local resource (Portugal).
Your duties will include:
- Modeling business requirements into normalized, denormalized, star schema, or other data models tailored to business goals;
- Modeling data beyond tabular forms, including columnar, graph, geographic,
- series, and
- based structures; - Designing
- driven data streams and API integrations (Schema APIs, CRUD APIs); - Defining and implementing data architectures that meet qualitative requirements: cost, performance (writes/gets/scans/advanced queries), and elasticity (scale up/out, pause/resume);
- Designing and applying reference data architectures aligned with the company’s data management strategy;
- Creating blueprints for organizational data frameworks—how data is collected, stored, consumed, integrated, and governed across Data Lakes, MDU, and Datamarts;
- Defining observability indicators for Data
Ops: - Pipeline health: duration, delays, retries, intervals;
- Dataset health: availability, freshness, volume, schema changes;
- Data health: profiling, outlier/anomaly detection, data drift, and business rule validation;
- Ensuring technical capabilities such as scalability, security, performance, recovery, and reliability;
- Applying best practices for data governance and data security including cataloging, lineage, data quality, metadata management, and master data management;
- Ensuring regulatory compliance in data usage and architecture standardization;
- Preparing business process reports and providing corrections and improvements to the Celonis platform;
- Conducting technical and functional analyses to integrate new processes in Celonis.
