What you are going to do?

Administer and maintain IBM Power Systems infrastructure (P8, P9, P10, P11);

Manage AIX environments, including patching, NIM, VIOS, and performance tuning;

Implement and manage Power
VM virtualization (LPARs, v
SCSI, NPIV);

Operate and maintain HMC (Hardware Management Console) for system provisioning and firmware upgrades;

Deploy and manage Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) on Power systems;

Use Power
VC for virtual machine lifecycle management, image templates, and
- service provisioning;

Implement and manage Power
SC security policies, compliance, and auditing features;

Configure and maintain networking and storage for Power environments (SEA, VSCSI, NPIV, SAN zoning);

Implement and maintain Power
HA solutions;

Administration of GPFS clusters;

Automate tasks using scripting (ksh, bash, Python, Ansible);

Perform system backups, disaster recovery planning, and root cause analysis of system outages;

Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure optimal infrastructure support;

Document configurations, standards, and procedures.

What are we looking for?

Expert: minimum 5 years on a similar role;

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent;

AIX System Administration:

-Core administration: LVM, JFS2, tunables, ODM;

-Patching, performance tuning, security hardening;

-Troubleshooting acros standalone and virtualized environments;

IBM Power Virtualization:

-Manage LPARs using HMC;

-Supporting VIOS (NPIV, SEA, v
NIC);

-DLPAR, LPM, SR-IOV;

-Understand Power Hypervisor and resource allocation;

System Mangement via HMC and Firmware Operations:

-Managing Power systems and LPARs with HMC and/or CLI;

-Updating system firmware, VIOS levels, microcodes;

RHEL on Power and Multi-OS Virtualization:

-Manage Red Hat Enterprise Linux on ppc64le;

-Manage multipath (NPIV);

-Support mixend environments (AIX, RHEL, etc. );

Ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues in IBM Power
VM environments;

Fluency in English, spoken and written (mandatory).
