Alteryx & Snowflake Data Consultant
Job Summary
Keyrus is looking for a highly skilled Data Engineer with strong Alteryx and Snowflake experience to join a strategic project for one of our financial sector clients. You’ll be instrumental in building complex actuarial and financial logic through automated data pipelines.
This position is Remote (European-based).
If you are based outside Portugal, you must be able to work as an international contractor on a daily rate basis.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop advanced Alteryx workflows to support external rate calculations for both proportional and
- proportional reinsurance treaties. - Transform and load external data into Snowflake, process results via Alteryx, and ensure outputs are ready for business review.
 - Translate complex treaty logic (e. g. , underwriting vs. accident year, excess-of-loss) into structured, reusable workflows.
 - Ensure seamless integration between Alteryx Cloud, Snowflake, and frontend applications for
- time execution. - Collaborate with frontend teams to resolve technical challenges related to
- user access, token handling, and workflow triggering. - Optimise initial prototypes into robust, 
- grade solutions with minimal manual intervention. - Support MVP delivery and iterative releases of the platform.
 - Troubleshoot performance issues, validate calculation accuracy, and maintain clear documentation.
 
Requirements for the role
- 3+ years of hands‑on experience with Alteryx Designer (Cloud and/or Desktop) and Server, ideally in enterprise environments.
 - 3+ years of hands‑on experience with Snowflake.
 - Experience integrating Snowflake with Alteryx (or equivalent cloud data warehouse experience).
 - Proven ability to work across cross‑functional teams, including frontend and backend developers.
 - Comfortable working independently in a delivery-focused, fast‑paced environment.
 - Experience with insurance, reinsurance, or financial data is a strong plus.
 - Fluent in English
 - Must be a Portuguese or European citizen or have a work permit for Portugal
