About The Role

We seek a proactive AML & Compliance Analyst experienced in KYC reviews and transaction monitoring to enhance our Compliance team. You will analyze customer cases, suggest improvements, and help develop scalable controls. This role suits someone who thrives in

KYC & Customer Due Diligence (CDD)

• Perform detailed reviews of customer profiles during onboarding and periodic checks
• Evaluate anomalies, investigate alerts, and escalate suspicious activity cases, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations
• Review and improve KYC rules, triggers, and processes for better accuracy and automation
• Support development of CDD and EDD procedures, templates, and risk models
• Keep records of onboarding decisions and investigations

Transaction Monitoring & Investigations

• Help optimize transaction monitoring, including rule creation and refinement
• Assist in monitoring activities, investigating unusual transactions, and escalating as needed
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to test and deploy rule changes
• Contribute to rule tuning to reduce false positives and enhance effectiveness

Product & Systems Support

• Support compliance tools configuration and optimization
• Participate in product testing and provide feedback
• Design workflows integrating compliance with customer experience

Regulatory & Governance Support

• Contribute to SOPs, risk assessments, and control frameworks
• Assist with compliance reporting and audit materials
• Monitor regulatory updates in Portugal and the EU

Who You Are

• 3–6 years in AML, Compliance, or Financial Crime, preferably in fintech, crypto, or
  - money sectors
• Strong knowledge of KYC, CDD, and transaction monitoring standards
• Experience in developing or improving compliance rules and risk scoring
• Familiarity with EU AML/CTF regulations for EMIs, PSPs, and crypto services
• Analytical, investigative, and communicative skills with attention to detail
• Comfort working with
  - functional teams
• Fluent in Portuguese and English

Nice To Have

• Experience with tools like Sumsub, Comply
  Advantage, Chainalysis, Elliptic
• Understanding of Web3 & De
  Fi concepts and experience
• Relevant certifications like CAMS or ICA
