
AML Compliance Team Lead [241-001679-1]
Exciting Opportunity! Are you ready to take the lead in Compliance and make a real difference? We are looking for an AML Compliance Team Lead to join our team in Lisbon! In this role, you will lead and manage a team within Payments Operations: setting schedules, defining performance requirements, ensuring quality, schedule adherence, attendance, etc. You’ll also be responsible for identifying improvement opportunities in workflows and team structure, enhancing user/client experience through collaboration with other teams. As a leader, you will coach team members, handle performance improvement plans, and serve as a career mentor. Your Responsabilities: Oversees and manages a team within Payments Operations Develops and administers team schedules and performance requirements Identifies improvement opportunities in work flow, and or team structure and suggest solutions Identifies opportunities to improve user experience and communicate to delivery lead and client teams Serves as a leader within the team Interfaces effectively with other teams Coaches team members to improve work performance e.g. Quality, Schedule Adherence, Attendance Administers performance improvement plans and other disciplinary actions as needed Acts as a career counsellor to team members Your abilities: Experience in leading Teams within KYC, EDD, AML, Transaction Monitoring or Compliance roles within the financial services industry or risk consulting services - mandatory English - Minimum C1 University Diploma in financing, management or similar (preferably), or Complete 12th Grade Own a valid work permit or European Union/Schengen Space Nationality to legally work in Portugal At least one of the following certifications: ICA certifications in AML, Financial Crime, or Compliance and/or CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) Basic knowledge of relevant AML and CTF typologies and regulatory obligations desirable General knowledge of the Financial Service Industry e commerce, BNPL, Retail Banking products and services, etc Relevant experience from working within FinTech, Banking, or Financial institutions Relevant experience with operational work. Computer and OSINT literacy What we offer: Schedule: Monday to Friday (09h00-18h00) with the need of working during Portuguese bank holidays Base salary + Meal Allowance FlexBen: 575€/year Direct contract with the client Health Insurance Work Regime: On Site for the first 8 months, then hybrid 50%-50% Ready to embark on an exciting career journey?
