AML L2 Officer

Perform initial review of alerts escalated by AML L1 and conduct in‑depth investigations for alerts requiring further scrutiny. Make decisions to close a case (subject to a 4‑eyes review) or to escalate to AML L3 Local Compliance Teams for filing Suspicious Activity Reports or handling conduct beyond the Group’s risk appetite.

Main Responsibilities

• Deliver timely and efficient investigation of alerts escalated by AML L1 by prioritising alerts by date or risk category and handling them efficiently.
• Conduct diligent desktop research to assess relevant data for each alert including KYC, payment details, account activity, and clients’ counterpart activities.
• Produce clear, concise investigation reports that convey the logic of risk assessment, conclusions, and links findings to evidence.
• Stay updated on global and local developments to assess potential money‑laundering, tax evasion, sanctions circumvention, bribery, terrorist financing, or other criminal activity risks.
• Support team organisation by facilitating team discussions (e. g. , morning meetings).
• Contribute to process and tools improvement by identifying inefficiencies, proposing changes, and sharing best practice.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma.
• Up to 2 years of experience in Audit, Compliance, Risk & Controls or similar.
• Advanced written and oral English and French.
• Attention to detail and rigor.
• Collaboration and teamwork.
• Analytical ability.
• Decision‑making capability.
