About The Job

The AML L2 Officer performs an initial review of alerts escalated by AML L1, followed by
- depth investigations for alerts that warrant further analysis. AML L2 Officers can decide to close cases (subject to a 4-eyes review) or escalate to AML L3 Local Compliance Teams those cases which may require filing Suspicious Activity Reports or indicate conduct outside the Group’s risk appetite.

Your Main Activities Are

• Investigate alerts escalated by AML L1 promptly and efficiently, ensuring correct prioritization by date or risk category, and collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders to gather relevant information.
• Conduct thorough desktop research, including KYC, payment details, account activity, and related business information, to assess each alert.
• Write clear and concise investigation reports that logically present risk assessments, conclusions, and link findings to evidence.
• Stay informed about global and local developments to make informed assessments regarding potential financial crimes such as money laundering, tax evasion, sanctions circumvention, bribery, corruption, and terrorism financing.
• Contribute to team organization and coherence by facilitating discussions during meetings.
• Identify and escalate process inefficiencies or tool deficiencies, and share best practices with team members to improve workflows.

Profile and Skills to Success

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Up to 2 years of experience in Audit, Compliance, Risk, Control, or similar fields.
• Proficiency in English and French, both written and oral.
• Attention to detail and rigor.
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Good
  - making abilities.
