AML L2 Trainee
About The Job
The AML L2 Trainee will support the AML L2 Compliance teams by performing initial tasks within AML investigations. These tasks complement and initiate the more detailed investigations conducted by Officers and Senior Officers.
Your Main Activities Are
- Investigate alerts escalated by AML L1, prioritizing by date or risk, and collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders to gather relevant information.
- Conduct thorough desktop research on data such as KYC, payment details, account activity, and clients’ business activities, including ownership and location details.
- Write clear and concise investigation reports that logically present risk assessments, conclusions, and link findings to evidence.
- Stay informed on global and local developments to assess whether payment flows indicate any financial crimes like money laundering, tax evasion, sanctions circumvention, or terrorism financing.
- Participate in team discussions to promote organization and coherence.
- Identify and escalate process inefficiencies or tool deficiencies to support continuous improvement, sharing best practices with other AML L2 and Compliance teams.
Profile and Skills to Success
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Economics, Management, Finance, or related fields.
- Advanced proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- Attention to detail and rigor.
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Decision-making capabilities.
