The opportunity is to join our newsroom as a Markets & On-Chain Analyst. The ideal candidate blends financial analysis with journalism, translating complex,
- driven insights about cryptocurrency and blockchain markets into clear, compelling, and accurate content for a diverse audience. This role goes beyond simple news reporting to provide
- depth analysis and context on market trends,
- chain data, and the broader economic and regulatory landscape.

Responsibilities

• Conduct
  - depth market research and analysis of cryptocurrency and blockchain markets, including technical and fundamental analysis of digital assets, tracking price movements, trading volumes and market trends.
• Utilize
  - chain data and analytics platforms (e. g. , Dune Analytics, Nansen, Glassnode) to identify significant transactions, wallet movements and other metrics that inform market narratives and predictive insights.
• Research, write, and produce
  - quality,
  - backed articles, reports, and features on topics such as De
  Fi, NFTs, regulatory developments, and emerging projects.
• Conduct investigative reporting by examining project tokenomics, identifying potential scams or vulnerabilities, and holding industry figures accountable.
• Build and maintain a network of sources across developers, venture capitalists, project founders and institutional investors to gather exclusive insights.
• Collaborate with editors,
  - checkers and multimedia teams to ensure content is accurate, adheres to journalistic standards and is engaging.
• Anticipate and report on potential market shifts, technological advancements, and regulatory changes that could impact the crypto ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a journalist, analyst or researcher with a portfolio demonstrating understanding of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and financial models.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Experience using AI tools to assist in research and content production, with awareness of ethical considerations in journalism.
• Experience with analyzing
  - chain data and proficiency with blockchain analytics tools.
• Exceptional writing, editing and storytelling skills with strong journalistic ethics and standards.
• Solid understanding of financial principles, technical analysis and risk management.
• Ability to work in a
  - paced,
  - driven environment and manage multiple projects.
• Passion for Crypto/Web3 and a commitment to continual learning in a rapidly evolving field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related field is a plus.

Bonus Points For

• Knowledge of traditional finance markets (e. g. , equities, bonds) and other asset classes.
• Experience with trading platforms and exchanges.
• Familiarity with crypto community platforms (e. g. , Twitter, Telegram, Discord).
• Experience in creating multimedia content (videos, podcasts).

Work Arrangement

This position is based in the UK/EU region and requires onsite work 2-3 days per week at local offices in London, Lisbon, or Frankfurt. Required onsite days are at the discretion of the hiring manager and may be adjusted based on business needs.
