Active Space Technologies develops, manufactures and deploys Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) for industrial environments, as well as the deployment and management package. Furthermore, the company is start developing Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) for multiple applications, namely health care. One of the main applications is development of AGV and AMR systems for cleaning and sterilization of contaminated environments using UV radiation.

Active Space Technologies is currently looking for a talented Senior Electrical Engineer highly motivated to integrate the electrical engineering department, to work in the conceptual design, development, manufacturing, assembly, test, and validation of a new AGV/AMR product.

• Duties & Responsibilities
• Electrical design of AGVs/AMRs;
• Supervising procurement and manufacturing;
• Functional evaluation of the system;
• Programming of specific modules;
• Assembly and testing;
• System validation;
• Product documentation.
• Minimal Requirements:
  
  

3. 1 Academic Qualification

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar background.
  
  

3. 2 Key Technical Knowledge

• Familiar with industrial automation, namely robots;
• Experience with industrial communications (CANbus/open, Profibus, Profinet, RS485, Wifi, Zigbee, Bluetooth);
• Knowledge of analogue and digital circuit design and analysis;
• Experience with AGV/AMR standards is a plus.
  
  

3. 3 Practical Experience

The candidate shall have a work experience of at least 5 years, with at least 3 years in industrial automation:

• Familiar with programming in C, C++ and similar languages;
• Expertise in PLC/ladder programming;
• Knowledge of both the Windows and Linux operating systems;
• Familiar with systems and control, computer interfaces;
• Certification processes and standards applicable to electrical systems (CE, EMC/EMI).
  
  

3. 4 Languages

• Fluent in English.
