Your Mission
The AP Manager oversees and manages the Accounts Payable function including vendor relations, invoice processing, reconciliations and disbursements with the objective of optimizing the cash cycle for Dorel.
- Account Payable process supervision
Responsible for all areas of the Accounts Payable process ensures:
- Vendor invoices are correctly and timely approved and processed;
- Vendor Masterfile maintenance and control;
- Tracking and analysis of expenditure;
- Communication with vendors to
- up accounts, answer to questions and manage discrepancies;
- Processing of invoices payments;
- Account reconciliations.
- Projects
- Initiate and/or participate in improvement projects for the organization.
- External reporting
- Prepares KPIs to be shared internally and externally;
- Supervises the monthly closing of the Accounts Payable department.
Your Responsibilities
As Accounts Payable Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and integrity of our financial operations. Your main responsibilities include:
- Lead and Oversee AP Operations
Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, payments, and reconciliations, while maintaining compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Vendor Relationship Management
Act as the primary point of contact for vendors, handling account setup, inquiries, and resolving discrepancies to maintain strong and transparent partnerships.
- Maintain Vendor Master Data
Supervise the creation and control of vendor master files, ensuring data integrity and security.
- Monitor and Analyze Expenditures
Track, review, and report on spending patterns to support cost optimization and informed
- making.
- Drive Process Improvements
Initiate and lead projects aimed at streamlining AP processes, enhancing efficiency, and leveraging technology for automation.
- Reporting and Compliance
Prepare and present KPIs for internal and external stakeholders, and oversee the monthly closing activities for the AP department.
- Strategic Contribution
Provide insights and recommendations to management, considering
- term impacts and stakeholder interests.
Your Profile
- Higher education working and thinking level with>
4 years experience; - Fluency in English (mandatory);
- Focused on research and project method. Researches needs, expectations, and solution courses;
- Works out the policy proposals, process arrangements or the project plans and turns that into advice, proposals or a project method;
- Able to form own vision, from which he/she leads a process, a project, a policy issue or a department, and advises management;
- Able to take (political) interests into account and oversees the (long-term) consequences of advice and/or decisions for everyone involved;
- Able to overseea complete, complex project and take (political) interests of multiple stakeholders into account.
