We are on the lookout for an Application Cloud Architect to work with European Institutions based in Brussels in a Far site position. This role involves working with our client from the European institutions, within the Intelligence Gathering, Analysis, and Innovation unit to support IT governance, project management guidance, and the IT project portfolio for the Directorate General. The Application Cloud Architect will assess and provide input on project deliverables submitted by external service providers and should have expertise in Enterprise Architecture frameworks, technologies, and other IT areas.

Responsibilities

• Propose solutions’ design and architecture.
• Development and maintenance of web applications.
• Assistance during testing, analysis, technical documentation, deployment, evaluation, and reporting.
• Perform technical migrations.
• Produce software architecture and design documentation.
• Analyze integration of different information systems.
• Review architecture of existing systems for cloud migration.
• Design and develop architecture components and building blocks using cloud components.
• Data analysis and data modeling.
• Elaborate and improve database models; maintain databases.
• Participate in technical working groups and progress meetings with users.
• Evaluate systems for discrepancies or vulnerabilities; ensure security and confidentiality per IT security plan.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of specific expertise in Java.
• At least 3 years of specific expertise in Angular.
• At least 3 years of specific expertise in Java
  Script.
• At least 2 years of specific expertise in Cloud architecture.
• At least 5 years of specific expertise in relational databases.

Knowledge and Skills

• Good knowledge of architecture best practices and patterns.
• Good knowledge of applications design.
• Good knowledge of Enterprise Architecture.
• Good knowledge of Relational DBMS.
• Knowledge of interoperability technology (web services,
  - oriented middleware,
