Job Description

This role involves managing, developing, and supporting the technology infrastructure at Kuehne+Nagel, enabling global systems and operations. As an Application Security (App
Sec) Engineer, you will be a key member of the global App
Sec team, focusing on building scalable security solutions and driving automation across a complex application landscape involving hybrid cloud, Kubernetes, and AI technologies. You will collaborate with product teams, Info
Sec, and other stakeholders to design and implement security automation, lead initiatives, and promote secure application development.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated security tooling and pipelines (e. g. , SAST, SCA, DAST, Ia
  C scanning).
• Improve internal Application Security Testing platforms and services for scalability and
  - friendliness.
• Automate vulnerability management processes for detection, triage, and remediation.
• Evaluate and pilot new App
  Sec tools and integrations.
• Support teams with secure coding practices, threat modeling, and risk mitigation.
• Leverage AI to enhance security workflows and assist engineering teams with AI security integration.
• Conduct AI security assessments and contribute to internal AI security offerings.
• Lead workshops and training to raise security awareness across teams.

Desired Skills and Experience

• 3+ years in Application Security, with experience in securing
  - scale systems.
• Proficiency with App
  Sec tools like SAST, SCA, DAST, and container security solutions.
• Hands-on with security testing techniques including penetration testing and code reviews.
• Knowledge of cloud and container platforms, especially AWS and Kubernetes.
• Experience with AI security assessments is a plus.
• Strong software engineering background, with Java and/or Python skills.
• Experience supporting Info
  Sec initiatives and security controls is advantageous.
• Collaborative mindset, comfortable working with international teams.
• Excellent communication skills in English, capable of explaining security concepts clearly.
