Application Support Engineer Lisboa

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Application Support Engineer to join a hybrid team in Lisbon. The role focuses on providing first and
- level support for Data applications within a Banking and Financing Services context.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for internally developed and
  - party applications
• Handle incidents, crisis calls, and communications, ensuring resolution within SLAs
• Monitor application status and server infrastructure resources
• Manage incoming ITSM tickets, phone calls, and requests
• Define and implement tactical solutions to resume processes quickly
• Analyze incidents, identify root causes, and engage proper escalation paths
• Follow ITIL practices and IT security recommendations
• Contribute to
  - functional requirements definition for new applications
• Participate in projects to reduce support activity on critical systems
• Support business workflows and understand underlying issues
• Communicate updates to business teams and other stakeholders
• Improve daily tasks by automating
  - oriented processes
• Participate in
  - release checkouts and continuous delivery processes

Technical Skills

• Red
  Hat Linux and solid IT infrastructure knowledge
• Application performance monitoring tools (Dynatrace preferred)
• Database/Oracle Exadata experience and ETL (IBM Data
  Stage)

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in application support
• Strong teamwork and
  - solving skills
• High accuracy, stress management, and responsiveness
• Strong analytical skills and proactivity
