Xalt-Fi Portugal launched operations in Lisbon and Porto to support leading financial institutions in their transformation journeys.

The Project

As part of this growth, we are partnering with a major international European bank to strengthen its IT teams. Its Porto hub plays a strategic role as a nearshore technology and operations center, delivering IT solutions, application support, and technical expertise to support the group’s central entities.

To support this mission, we are recruiting Application System Engineers.

Your Responsibilities

• Manage and resolve production incidents.
• Coordinate technical operations and application changes.
• Participate in application and infrastructure change management.
• Draft and maintain
  -
  - date technical documentation.
• Monitor system and application performance.
• Manage and optimize backups.
• Contribute to process automation.
• Work closely with development teams to design new application architectures aligned with infrastructure standards.

Key Skills & Experience

• At least 6 years of experience in a similar role.
• Solid knowledge of both Linux and Windows environments.
• Experience with an industrial scheduler (BMC/Control-M or equivalent).
• Proficiency in scripting (Shell, Python, and/or Power
  Shell).
• Understanding of database concepts.
• Experience with infrastructure backups.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools.
• Knowledge of LDAP, Firewall, Reverse Proxy, Active Directory, and Kerberos.
