AR and GL ACCOUNTANT

The Position

We are seeking an Accounts Receivable & GL Accountant to join our Finance team in Maia, Porto, Portugal. This permanent role involves working with HBK France and HBK Italy.

Your responsibilities include tasks related to Accounts Receivable and specific general ledger activities such as posting journal entries and reconciliations. You will be part of a global finance organization where English is the main language, and proficiency in French and Italian is required.

Primary Responsibilities

• Handling and posting incoming payments
• Monitoring and collecting accounts receivable by contacting customers via phone and email
• Maintaining accounts receivable records to ensure accuracy and timely collection
• Sending customer statements
• Managing quote approvals, order releases, and credit control
• Participating in monthly closing procedures and account reconciliations
• Preparing documentation for audits
• Responding to inquiries from customers and colleagues worldwide
• Streamlining and improving accounts receivable processes

Professional Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Several years of relevant professional experience
• Excellent communication skills in English, Italian, and French
• Experience with SAP4Hanna and/or SAP
