- time decisions to enhance customer and driver experiences through effective route planning. As an Area Manager, you will lead a team to drive performance, ensure adherence to standard processes, and build systems to manage daily package scheduling across multiple Delivery Stations. Your focus will be on

- making, operational efficiency, and
- term improvements, alongside coaching and developing your team.
Key job responsibilities
- Manage daily team operations, ensuring timely task execution according to standards.
- Monitor and report on performance metrics weekly.
- Identify performance gaps through data analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Implement best practices to improve customer satisfaction, cost efficiency, and delivery partner outcomes.
- Develop scalable processes and systems, often requiring innovative solutions to technical limitations.
- Create standard work procedures supporting remote management of complex operations.
- Lead process improvement initiatives using quantitative analysis and
- driven insights. - Manage recognition and communication programs to motivate the team.
A day in the life
This position is based in the office. You will collaborate across EU with Supply Chain, Distribution Centers, and Ground Transportation teams to ensure timely delivery of heavy/bulky shipments.
About the team
You will be part of the Intra Week Volume Planning team, focusing on AMZL
- mile operations supporting all EU countries.
Qualifications and skills
- Knowledge and experience in
-
- customer fulfillment operations, with strong technical,
- solving, and communication skills. - Experience in project definition, requirement gathering, and process design.
- Forward-thinking with adaptability to change and ambiguity.
- Degrees in Engineering, Operations, or
- related fields. - Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to build partnerships with management and delivery providers.
- Experience with performance metrics, process improvement, and analytical problem solving.
- Flexibility to work in various schedules and shifts.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in relevant fields.
- Management experience in manufacturing, production, or distribution.
- Knowledge of Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma methodologies.
- Proficiency with SQL, ETL, and visualization tools like Tableau.
- Comfort in a
- paced, evolving environment.
