Join Ecolab’s Global Quick Service Restaurants (QSR) division as an Area Manager. Global QSR delivers comprehensive cleaning and food safety programs developed specifically for the quick‑service, fast‑casual, and small‑footprint markets, partnering with our customers to reduce food‑borne risks and support safe food handling.
Overview of the Role
The Area Manager South Region is responsible for developing the QSR business across Spain, Italy, Portugal, Greece, Malta, Cyprus, and Andorra. The role leads regional growth, partners with the corporate account team to retain and expand our global QSR customer base, and manages the program and service delivery through sales and field teams based in the South region. Success hinges on empowering high‑performing teams, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and building strong customer relationships that demonstrate the value of Ecolab’s QSR offerings.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Lead a safety culture that places associates’ safety at the forefront of all activities, contributing to safety leadership, metrics and initiatives.
- Develop and communicate a successful regional growth strategy to increase profit.
- Manage area sales by aligning the team and leveraging key strengths.
- Leverage internal relationships to grow existing business.
- Manage new customer pipeline while maintaining and developing existing relationships to drive growth.
- Control regional P&L and report key financial and team performance data (actual and forecast).
- Develop and lead product/program tests, implementations, and rollouts with the field team to deliver compelling programs to current and potential customers.
- Support and execute pricing, innovation, and product penetration targets.
- Proactively advise senior management on opportunities to maximize business relationships or improve effectiveness across the internal value chain.
- Lead employees in their areas of responsibility in accordance with supervisory and corporate guidelines.
- Provide continuous talent development for direct reports to create and maintain value in the industry.
- Represent the QSR division in a regional leadership capacity and as part of the cross‑divisional/function leadership team.

Qualifications, Skills And Experience
- University degree in business‑related subject with 5+ years in B2B field sales, B2C QSR restaurant management, or restaurant headquarters operations leadership.
- Ideally 3+ years of cross‑national management experience directing multiple field sales professionals.
- Strategic vision and strong communication skills.
- Track record of negotiating, winning, growing, and developing new business.
- Ability to understand regional differences and cultures.
- Organized, results‑oriented approach with the ability to prioritize business needs.
- Strong leadership qualities and the ability to build successful relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Commercial acumen and finance skills, with a good understanding of P&L drivers.
- High proficiency in English and Spanish (written and spoken). Italian and/or Portuguese are a plus.
- Willingness to travel up to 50%.
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Power
Point, Microsoft Outlook, Salesforce or other CRM platforms.
