At Smart Consulting, we're looking for a Senior Data Cloud Architect to join our engineering organization and drive the design, implementation, and evolution of our
- generation cloud data platforms.

What it takes to be a Senior Data Cloud Architect:

• 10+ years of experience in cloud data engineering and architecture
• Deep expertise in AWS data services (Glue, Redshift, Lambda, Step Functions)
• Proven
  - on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Cloud
  Formation)
• Strong coding skills in Python and SQL
• Solid experience in data governance, security, and compliance frameworks
• Background in
  - scale data migrations, optimizations, and
  - native solutions
• Ability to design secure, scalable, and
  - efficient data architectures
• Strong communication, leadership, and mentoring capabilities
• Experience working in European corporate environments, ideally in
  - scale or regulated sectors
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Fluency in English

Nice to Have:

• Exposure to Azure data services and Azure Databricks
• Knowledge of Kafka, Apache Flink, or streaming data architectures
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines for data workloads
• Familiarity with Dataiku or similar data analytics platforms
• AWS or Azure cloud certifications

What you'll do as a Senior Data Cloud Architect:

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and
  - effective data architectures primarily on AWS
• Lead
  -
  - end data engineering and cloud platform initiatives, from concept to deployment
• Define and maintain data governance and security standards across all environments
• Build and optimize data pipelines, ETL processes, and orchestration workflows using Airflow, AWS Step Functions, Lambda, Glue, and related services
• Apply Ia
  C methodologies (Terraform, Cloud
  Formation) for platform provisioning and management
• Use Python and SQL to prototype, validate, and set technical baselines for data solutions
• Ensure high performance and efficiency when handling large or complex datasets
• Manage and tune Iceberg tables, Redshift clusters, Duck
  DB workflows, and Postgre
  SQL environments
• Collaborate with
  - functional teams, acting as a technical authority, mentor, and architecture guardian
• Support continuous improvements and best practices across data engineering and cloud architecture domains
