Art Director – Global Brand - Remote (Portugal)

A leading global brand is seeking experienced Art Directors to join its freelance talent pool, leading the creative execution of digital content at a global scale.

This role is ideal for a highly autonomous,
- on Art Director with strong experience working across major global brands.

You’ll lead
- led projects from concept through to final delivery, collaborating across a complex stakeholder landscape. While providing creative leadership, you’ll remain
- focused and comfortable designing and laying out work yourself when required.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the art direction of global digital content from concept through production and final delivery

Own projects

- end, independently managing creative quality, timelines, and stakeholder relationships

Art-director photography shoots, including briefing,
- set direction, and
- production guidance

Partner closely with photographers, demonstrating strong judgement in talent selection

Collaborate with brand, content, production, design, and local market teams

Translate creative direction into clear, scalable outputs, including toolkits for local market activation

Required Skills & Experience

7+ years’ experience as an Art Director working on global brands

Experience across both agency and
- house environments

Background in sports, fashion, or lifestyle brands is desirable

Proven ability to work autonomously while managing multiple projects and stakeholders

Strong understanding of brand systems and execution within established visual identities

Extensive experience art directing photography from planning through final delivery

Comfortable balancing creative leadership with
- on execution

Strong collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills
