AI Engineer – LLMs & Generative AI | Pharma Innovation | Remote |

A global pharmaceutical innovator is looking for a Freelance AI Engineer with deep expertise in Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI to build scalable,
- grade AI solutions that transform how scientific and clinical knowledge is accessed and applied.

You’ll work alongside data scientists, ML researchers, and domain experts to turn
- edge models into
- world tools that accelerate R&D and improve patient care.

What You'll Do:

Architect and deploy LLM-powered applications (e. G. medical chatbots, document Q&A systems, insight generation tools)

Implement advanced
- augmented generation (RAG) pipelines with vector stores (e. G. FAISS, Weaviate, Pinecone)

Optimise and
- tune
- source or proprietary LLMs (e. G. LLa
MA, Mistral, GPT-4) for
- specific use cases

Ensure scalability, performance, and security of AI applications in production environments

Collaborate with MLOps and Dev
Ops to deploy models on cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure)

✅ Requirements:

Strong experience as an AI Engineer, ML Engineer, or similar role

Proven track record deploying LLMs or Gen AI models in production (via APIs, containers, or
- native apps)

Hands-on with Lang
Chain, Transformers, Hugging Face, Open
AI, Vector DBs, and orchestration frameworks

Proficient in Python, with solid understanding of backend integration and API design

Experience with pharma, biotech, or regulated industries a plus (especially working with unstructured text data)
