THE ROLE
As the Asset Strategy Specialist - Downtime and Claim Processes you will be an expert within a central team that focuses on the development of strategies related to design of a
- performance global fleet operating model and implementation of the processes, policies and procedures that bring those strategies into reality to drive operational results on availability and quality of the fleet, customer satisfaction coming from the fleet and operational efficiency in operating that fleet.
Your role involves understanding the root causes of downtime, and as part of a combined larger strategy for vehicle management, designing efficient processes for rapid resolution, and ensuring that these processes are both
- effective and high in quality. You will also be responsible for defining the flow of information and data collection points between customers, local teams, and regional teams to ensure that issues are resolved quickly and effectively. As part of those processes, you will develop a framework for managing insurance claims, providing guidelines for
- making, submissions, and other key points in the claims process.
Reporting directly to the Asset Strategy Director, this role is critical to maximizing fleet availability, minimizing operational costs, and ensuring smooth communication and coordination across teams.
WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?
- Take ownership of creating and refining strategies aimed at minimizing downtime, focusing on understanding the causes and designing processes that ensure quick, efficient, and
- effective resolution. - Design and implement standardized processes for managing downtime, including defining information flows between customers, local teams, and regional teams in a dedicated system, to ensure issues are resolved rapidly and with high quality, and that data is collected in such a way that allows for insight creation and performance control.
- Define the communication channels and information flows necessary to resolve downtime issues effectively, ensuring that all stakeholders have access to timely and accurate information.
- Work closely with the systems teams to ensure that the tools and platforms used by the teams are aligned with the downtime management processes
- Design the processes for managing insurance claims related to downtime, including establishing guidelines for who decides, who submits claims, and the key decision points throughout the process.
- Develop and deliver training programs for regional and local teams, ensuring they are fully equipped to implement the downtime and claims processes effectively.
- Continuously monitor the performance of downtime and claims processes, using
- driven insights to implement improvements and ensure optimal operational efficiency and cost management. - Develop, coordinate and deliver projects within your area of expertise and that help to improve our fleet operating model so that they meet the standards of quality and timing of the organization.
- Lead, train and manage the junior team members of the Asset Strategy team that are allocated to projects and initiatives that you will be coordinating. Act as a mentor and guide to less experienced analysts, sharing your expertise and helping to develop the next generation of talent within the team.
- Collaborate with Regional Teams: Work closely with regional directors and local teams to adapt and apply central strategies to specific regional contexts, ensuring successful implementation and execution.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Holds a degree in Business Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, or similar.
- 6+ years of experience in a strategic consulting firm or a strategic role within the operations or maintenance department of a company that manages a fleet of vehicles globally. Ideally Campervan and RV's.
- Specialist Knowledge in Fleet Management: In-depth knowledge about fleet management processes, challenges, systems and solutions.
- Passion by process improvements and high attention to detail
- Strong ability to analyze complex repair and maintenance data, develop insights, and translate them into actionable strategies that enhance operational efficiency and vehicle availability and reliability.
- Communication and Leadership skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively and influence
- making at senior levels. Proven experience in mentoring and developing junior team members. - Collaborative Leadership: Strong ability to collaborate across multiple teams and regions, with a focus on ensuring that central strategies are effectively implemented and adapted to local contexts.
- Results-Oriented and ambitious: Highly organized,
- oriented, and focused on delivering results that contribute to the company’s operational success. - Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.
