Assistant Director Of Sales
Assists in leading the property’s segmented sales effort (e. g. , group, transient, corporate, consortia, etc. ) and helps implement the segment sales strategy to achieve revenue goals, guest and employee satisfaction. Conducts daily sales activities focused on building
- term customer relationships that support property sales objectives. Achieves personal booking goals.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
Required:
- 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major;
4 years experience in sales and marketing or related professional area.
OR
- 4-year bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major;
2 years experience in sales and marketing or related professional area.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Developing & Executing Sales Strategies
- Report directly to the Resort’s General Manager, ensuring the commercial vision is properly implemented to meet revenue and GOP goals.
- Collaborate with the Regional Director of Sales to ensure understanding and effective implementation of sales strategies for the segment.
- Assist in developing and executing aggressive solicitation programs to increase business.
- Create and implement a sales plan targeting revenue, customers, and market segments.
- Assist with developing and executing promotions internally and externally.
- Provide leadership to maximize revenue potential, including setting personal and team booking goals.
- Approve space releases for catering to maximize revenue in the absence of a Business Evaluation Manager.
- Participate in sales calls to acquire and close new business.
- Support operational aspects of booked business, including proposals, contracts, and customer correspondence.
Analyzing & Reporting on Sales and Financial Data
- Use sales systems to analyze market information and implement strategies to meet financial goals.
- Assist Revenue Management with accurate
- period projections. - Review guest satisfaction results to identify areas for improvement.
Ensuring Exceptional Customer Service
- Lead by example in guest hospitality and customer service, creating a positive guest experience.
- Engage with guests to gather feedback on product quality and service levels.
- Meet with guests during events to assess satisfaction and gather feedback.
- Empower employees to deliver excellent service and provide feedback for improvement.
- Incorporate guest satisfaction into departmental meetings for continuous improvement.
- Implement and support customer recognition and service standards.
- Ensure service excellence before and during events to build loyalty and meet customer needs.
