At Dreams Madeira Resort & Spa, we are looking for an Assistant F&B Director with strategic vision, strong leadership, and a deep commitment to operational excellence.

This Assistant F&B Director position will report directly to the hotel’s Food & Beverage Director. The hotel features 7 restaurants and 7 bars, offering a diverse range of dining experiences. In this role, you will manage a dedicated team of over 100 employees, ensuring the highest standards of service and operational excellence across all outlets.

What we’re looking for :

• Proven experience in F&B management
• Education in F&B, Culinary Arts or similar
• Proficiency in MS Office & F&B management software
• Strong skills in complaint & conflict resolution
• Leadership, communication & delegation skills
• Financial insight and trend awareness
• Customer service mindset tailored to guests
• Fluent in Portuguese & English, basic German; French is a plus
• Excellent knowledge of wines & beverages

Your key responsibilities :

• Drive performance across all F&B outlets
• Support recruitment, training & staff retention
• Plan and manage events
• Ensure smooth internal communication
• Identify training needs
• Control inventory & monitor costs
• Staff scheduling & service planning
• Maintain
  - level customer service
• Help shape menus & manage purchasing
• Anticipate and respond to guest needs
• Set goals, KPIs & maintain hotel standards
• Foster teamwork
• Ensure health & safety compliance
