Offer Description

In accordance with Article 39 of the University Academic Career Statute, the NOVA School of Science and Technology announces two Assistant Professor positions in Computer Science, focusing on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, within the Department of Computer Science. The positions are open for 30 working days from the publication date in the Official Gazette. These positions are governed by the relevant university regulations and are part of the FCT TENURE – 1st Edition program, with the potential for the selected candidates to become integrated members of the Research Centre “NOVA-LINCS”.

The recruitment aims to evaluate candidates’ abilities in scientific research, teaching, and service activities, with specific assessment parameters for scientific merit, pedagogical merit, other relevant activities, and the quality of the scientific and pedagogic reports. Candidates must meet minimum qualifications, including holding a doctorate in a relevant field, proficiency in Portuguese and English, and meeting other specified criteria. The application process involves submitting a detailed CV, publication list, teaching and research documentation, and other supporting materials by the deadline, either digitally or in person.

The selection process includes public hearings, evaluation based on a structured scoring system, and final ranking by the panel.
