In accordance with Article 39 of the University Academic Career Statute, approved by Decree-Law No 448/79, of 13 November, as amended by Decree-Law No 205/2009, of 31 August, the Director of the NOVA School of Science and Technology, Professor José Júlio Alves Alferes, announces an international
- based recruitment process for one Assistant Professor position, under an
- ended public functions contract, in the area of Environmental Sciences and Engineering, focusing on Energy and Climate Change, Adaptation and Risk Management to Climate Change, within the Department of Environmental Sciences and Engineering of NOVA FCT, Lisbon.

This process is governed by Articles 37 and following of the University Academic Career Statute (ECDU), and relevant regulations of NOVA University Lisbon and NOVA FCT.

The position is part of the FCT TENURE – 1st Edition program, reference 2023. 11076. TENURE. 014, for Assistant Professor in Energy and Climate Change – Adaptation and Risk Management to Climate Change, with the candidate becoming a member of the Research Centre “CENSE”.

If eligible under the FCT TENURE program, the candidate will be assigned the research profile as per UNL’s Regulation for the provision of teachers' services, for the duration of the funding period.

2. Hold a doctorate in the relevant subject area or an appropriate branch of knowledge.
3. Proficiency in Portuguese and English, spoken and written.
