We’re looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the leadership of our São Bento location—someone who balances warm hospitality with strong operational discipline and knows how to keep standards high without killing the vibe.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Leadership

• Support the Restaurant Manager in the
-
- day operations of Madam Bo São Bento

• Oversee opening and closing procedures, ensuring shifts run smoothly and according to company standards

• Lead by example on the floor, ensuring calm, confident service at all times

• Step in wherever needed to ensure service continuity and team support

Service, Brand & Guest Experience

• Ensure brand standards are consistently applied across service, communication, and space presentation

• Deliver and maintain a high level of guest experience, handling feedback and resolving issues with care

• Train and coach the team to deliver warm, attentive, and consistent service

Food Quality & Safety

• Monitor and uphold food quality, portioning, and presentation standards

• Coordinate with the central kitchen to ensure product consistency and availability

• Ensure full compliance with HACCP, food safety regulations, and internal hygiene procedures

Stock & Supplier Coordination

• Coordinate with suppliers and deliveries, ensuring accuracy, quality, and proper storage

• Monitor stock levels and support inventory control to avoid shortages or waste

Sales & Performance

• Implement upselling strategies in line with the brand’s tone and values

• Train and motivate the team to upsell naturally and confidently

• Support basic reporting, cash handling, and operational checklists

Who You Are

• Proven experience in hospitality (restaurant, café, or similar), ideally in a supervisory or assistant manager role

• Strong leadership skills with a
- first mindset

• Highly organised,
- oriented, and reliable

• Passionate about food, hospitality, and brand consistency

• Fluent in both English and Portuguese (mandatory)

• Comfortable enforcing standards while keeping a positive team culture

• Solid understanding of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP requirements
