Your Impact
You will manage a team of Assistants within our Lisbon Expo location. You will monitor service levels and develop individual team members to ensure adequate coverage and delivery of
- class service for clients and supported colleagues.
You will lead, motivate, and mentor Assistants to enhance their effectiveness, performance, client delivery, and overall job satisfaction.
You will lead or assist recruiting efforts to review and manage adequate staffing levels. You will coordinate backup and overflow coverage to ensure
- quality, consistent, seamless service and quality during absences, unanticipated departures, and peak workloads.
You will conduct timely and thorough Assistants’ performance evaluations by gathering, summarizing, and delivering feedback (on an ongoing basis, as well as formally during
- end reviews). You will also oversee routine administrative duties such as monitoring absences, reviewing and approving time sheets, overtime, vacation, and sick time. Additionally, you will assist the Assistant Services Operations Managers and EA Manager with development and implementation of strategic initiatives and projects.

You will be based in our Lisbon Expo office as part of Global Assistant Services. You will work with a growing team of Assistants, supported colleagues, and key stakeholders.
Our Assistants provide
- quality support for Mc
Kinsey consultants and firm leaders across Europe, Middle East and Africa.
You will also collaborate closely with the EA Manager, Assistant Services Operations Managers and other Team Leaders in areas connected with operational activities, strategic initiatives, upskilling, performance management, and motivating and coaching of colleagues.
Your qualifications and skills
- University degree is not a must
- 3+ years of previous experience in leading high performing teams
- 2 years' experience in a corporate or professional services environment preferred
- Demonstrated maturity, good judgment,
- confidence, flexibility and a ‘client-first mindset’ - Comfortable with ambiguity and able to navigate
- paced and frequent change - Openness to new solutions and emerging innovative mindset
- Excellent administrative and organizational skills
- Emerging people leadership skills, comfortable in adapting to roles of leader and participant. Effectively able to set boundaries and lead diverse teams through change
- Ability to manage multiple urgent tasks against aggressive timelines and to stay focused under pressure
- Strong critical thinking and strong
- solving skills - Exceptional interpersonal, communication (oral and written) and conflict resolution skills; strong influencing capabilities
